Maintenance Supervisor

You will be the person who makes sure that all lawns, gardens and maintenance needs are attended to promptly and efficiently. Some jobs you will do yourself, others you will bring outside trades or contractors in to attend to. An awareness of WHS is an important part of this role.

The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for the overall maintenance standards achieved at Cameron Glen Supported Living Village (Cameron Glen) and particularly for matters relating to:
Meeting agreed deadlines
Quality of workmanship
Efficient and effective completion of work tasks
Reliable, ongoing operation of plant and equipment and general building maintenance status
Maintenance of a safe workplace in accordance with the Workplace Health & Safety Act
Supervision of all work undertaken by outside contractors
Personal Attributes / Qualities:
Honesty and diligence are the main attributes required
Empathy for the needs of the residents on maintenance of the highest standard of living, comfort and dignity
An ability to work without supervision and also to apply supervision to other workers / contractors
An ability to assess, evaluate and prioritise work requirements

We are currently looking to employ staff, enthusiastic Assistants in Nursing who want to work in a caring, supportive team, and not afraid to provide all aspects of care that enable our residents to reside independently in their own villas.

Essential
Appropriate qualification - minimum Cert III in Aged Care or equivalent
Current First Aid certificate
Current Police Check or willingness to obtain
Safe Food Handling Certificate or willingness to obtain
Experience working in Aged Care (preferably within the community)
Ability to work cooperatively in a team or unsupervised
Have exceptional communication skills, both written and spoken.
Desirable
Familiarity with MANAD
Computer skills
